Funny how things go.....

   Let me tell you all a little story about how Brian Patterson and I became an unstoppable writing duo. A couple of years ago, I'm at work, minding my own business, when our coffee guy (Brian) strikes up a conversation with me about music. Turns out that he is a former heavy metal lead guitarist who used to tour with Bif. Pretty cool stuff. His former band mate and he, who still lives in Vancouver, have been writing some songs together and were looking for a female vocalist to record them. Turns out, I just happen to know someone!


   After a grueling day of hilarity and singing, this is the song that we recorded. Feel free to comment, if you'd like. But keep in mind: we had very little idea of what we were doing!

So, we were very pleased with how it all turned out and it really helped me to feel more confident in my singing. Recently, Brian came to me with the music for a new song and asked me to write the lyrics. I had never done this before but I took a crack at it. Again, turned out pretty damn good. Brian and I will be premiering out new tune, Blue Fire in April, at our next show. I hope everyone likes it as much I do! It's been really fun and exciting to create and share my musical perspective with another person. I'm hoping to continue to write and play and laugh and create. What more could a girl ask for?
